We had the pleasure of a visit from the Rauwerdinks on the Fourth of July. We took in a trip to the famed Casa Bonita, and the girls seemed to have a good time.
The girls outside the fountain at Casa Bonita.
Here, with Mike, having just thrown in some coins to make a wish.
Riding some pretty awesome moving animals. Hold on!
Another ride, where they got to ride together. Hannah looks bored!
Hannah hamming it up back at the Harpers.
Me and lil' Ben (born in April).
And the girls in their jammies (notice Hannah is borrowing Scout's favorite boots!) for one last romp before the Rauwerdinks take off.And we had friends Rachel and Drake over one night, and their daughter Olivia is one of Scout's favorite people: "Liv! Liv!"
Here are the girls in a brief moment of sharing the car. Olivia REALLY likes that car! Ha!
Here is Scout borrowing Olivia's sunglasses.
And here are the girls drawing together at the table.
Here is a photo of our last playdate with Jessica and Nyah, who are leaving us to return to work and daycare (respectively). Tuesdays just won't be the same, but we'll try!
Here is Scout munching on a large lollipop. She saw it in the pantry, what's a mom to do? Actually, she had it out of the wrapper before I even knew what was going on, and I was standing like 3 feet away. Toddlers are QUICK!We also had a day-long visit from Auntie Lacey and Grandma Margie.
We took in the Westlands Park, and the girls had fun in the water!
Oh, she did NOT want to leave the park after this fun day!
And, there was the time when we tried to get her to pick up her legos and put them in her wagon. She didn't want to do that, I guess, but she herself climbed in the wagon. Aunt Lacey piled the legos on top of her. We taught her a valuable lesson about picking up that day. (Dontcha think?)And, I know that I have more photos of my August girls' weekend that are not yet uploaded, but since I'm posting, I thought it appropriate to give a BIG "Thank You" to all of my Nepal girls, who made the trip out to Denver. It was a fantastic time, the first time all five of us have been in the same place for two years.
The kids had lots of fun seeing their aunties! From L to R: Anne, Mary, Scout, Amy, me, Kerri, Liam. (The guys were taking photos!)Until next time! Love, Jayme
