Here is a photo from our failed photo shoot back in November... we tried, but it was not to be. Not one photo where both of the girls were looking and smiling.
So, our Christmas card was more like this... a photo from our trek to get our Christmas tree. A story that deserves telling--we were turning into the national forest land when Cory says, "I probably should have gassed up before we left Fort Collins." Whoops. Our gas light was on as we pulled out of the property after paying for our tree, and I asked the attendant, "Please tell me we can get gas someplace." Indeed, if you're ever in Red Feather Lakes, there is one gas pump that DOES take credit cards. Alleluia!Now that it's January, and we've been back in the groove for a few weeks, Christmas seems like such a long time ago. We were all together in Sundance for the holiday, and Cory had a week off--it was a very nice time for all of us.

Fun with some friends--at our house in front of the tree, we decorated cookies with Scout's friend Natalie and her sisters.All in all, this Christmas was a great time--we got to celebrate in our new house. We had so much to delight in with these little girls who seem to never tire of the lights, the excitement, and, oh yeah, the PRESENTS! Our friends and family are beyond generous, and our task for the coming years is to instil a sense of gratitude in our kids for the bounty of love, affection and goodies that they receive from all those who love them.
