Early November fun

Here and there, we did this and that... Ruby seemed to continue fighting off one bug or another since before Halloween. Now we are in the full throes of celebrating her birthday, but I'll let that be a separate post. Here's a little catch up before I head off to bed.

This is what the kids looked like the morning after Halloween
On November 2, we were lucky to have the opportunity to go to the Lincoln Center to see the Fresh Beat Band Live. Here was Scout's outfit:
This is a photo of Marina, one of the Fresh Beat Band members. Can you tell who inspired Scout's look?

I can't remember why the girls set up their chairs in the hallway and hung out, but I snapped this photo

One day we took a scooter ride

We went on the Spring Creek Trail and got to go on bridges

We went under a train bridge

We got to a wildlife area

We got to check out prairie dog holes
Here is a video of Scout checking out the homes more extensively. http://youtu.be/C-NZkOQhaS4
We lucked out with the weather--a gorgeous day!

There are our little prairie dog buddies!

My sillies
One day my sillies were in the mood to take a few videos. Here are the links. http://youtu.be/52deBDO5hEc

There will be more to follow one of these days: field trip with Scout's school and playdates, birthday party fun and time spent with family.

Halloween 2012

Halloween has come and gone! We missed out on Treatsylvania this year due to a nasty respiratory bug, but I'm fairly certain that we'll get another chance in the future.

Scout had her usual Halloween Parade at preschool. Cory and Ruby and I watched intently. She was upset about her dress-up shoes being unavailable, so she made the parade barefoot.

We went to the Butter Cream Cupcakery and listened to a story by Rapunzel. We also got to see our friends Charlotte and Rebecca.

That night, of course, we did our fair share of tromping around the neighborhood and Trick-or-Treating.

Waiting for the parade to start

Ruby took this one!

Here they come--with Scout leading the parade!

Scout is holding Mrs. Lechtenberg's hand--she's the director of the preschool

Our little fairy, Rosetta

Round 2

That pumpkin is Mrs. Landers--Scout's current teacher

Scout and a few of her classmates

Round 3--notice Sara Mei as a cheer leader and the shark attack kiddo

One more!

Dorothy with Toto in her basket, rosy red cheeks and ruby red slippers

There's no place like home!

Toto just had a shopping basket, poor guy.

Lacey took this one

It's kind of hard to see, but our neighbor Rick was playing with his remote control helicopter

It's almost on the ground
