Friday, February 3rd was a SNOW DAY! School was cancelled and we had a very relaxed day.
Scout and Cory built a snowman at lunchtime on Friday.

There was a bit more snow on Friday night, and Saturday was a glorious day--awesome snow, beautiful sunshine, an all-around winter wonderland.

The girls found the sun off putting. They needed sunglasses. I got out my lawn chair so that I could sip my coffee and enjoy the sun. The girls thought the lawn chairs sounded like a good idea, so we got some out for them as well. Don't you just love a good snow day?

So curious...how much snow needs to fall for there to be a snow day in Ft Collins? We have friends who are recent transplants from CO (originally Ft Collins area, then Denver) who tell lore of no snow days ever.
Looks like you made a super fun day of it. I especially like the "sunbathing" photo.
Jenny, to be honest, I don't know. This was one of those storms that was all hype. At least for us it was, we only got 8-10 inches. But parts of our district got 30 inches. Last year they cancelled school for super-cold temps.
wowsers! I'm actually jealous of the snow you've gotten ;) We really haven't had anything yet....
The girls look like they've been having a blast! What fun!
