I posted about Lacey's wedding, which was over a year ago, and I still need to post about Jake & Jess' wedding which was also, at this point, over a year ago. There's plenty of other stuff that I want to write about, too.
We are very fortunate. We do a lot around here. We love our kids and our families and we love to spend time with the people that we love. We love to travel and see new places and share new experiences. And the time just FLIES. There is no stopping the turn of the earth, and all I can do is pause when I get the chance and spend a moment reflecting on this beautiful life that I get to live. My heart is bursting when I stop and think about it.
So, today was the first day of 5th grade for Scout and the first day of 3rd grade for Ruby. Scout's teacher is Ms. Durkin, and Ruby's is Ms. Seufer. They are in good hands!

It was SO FUN!
P.S. When I came home from work with the kids at 4 pm, this is what our front yard looked like. I guess Cory answered the door when a tree guy was hoping to make a few bucks while he was killing time. Those aspen were so gross for so long, they needed to come down, but imagine my surprise upon returning home. For the record, you can't suck up saw dust with your lawnmower, but I tried. I literally swept my grass.
