Scout's baptism and more

This weekend, we were able to have Scout baptized at Most Precious Blood Church. It was a wonderful mass, and I just love the way that the parish welcomes these little people. The priest, Fr. Pat, presents the baby to all the different sections of the church, and the people in the front rows reach out and make the sign of the cross on the baby's forehead. Very special day!
Little Scout was not in particularly great spirits, though--and took the whole "dunking" thing a little hard. Fortunately, she perked up when she heard the entire church erupt in applause.
Here are proud parents, Fr. Pat, godparents Jake and Mary and the newly christened herself.
Here's our little pipsqueak looking "too cool."
And here she is wishing everyone a very happy St. Patty's Day!
(She wears her grin on the inside sometimes.)
