Here is Cory and Scout on the Fay Canyon Trail.

At the Tuzigoot National Monument.

At Montezuma's Castle.
At the Grand Canyon (about 2 1/2 hours from Sedona).
Swimming. Cory and Scout spent a lot of the week in this pool.
Beautiful hot air balloons. I fess up: I was still sleeping when Cory took this picture on one of his early morning hikes.
And the little mischievous almost-one-year-old.
And here is one from our last evening walk--you can see our resort in the background.
And here is the father daughter duo one last time. We got in last night--the 31st--at around 8:30 p.m. after driving all day. Arizona is so different than what I expected. I expected all desert, but there were so many trees where we were. Gorgeous. And New Mexico actually looked a lot like Wyoming (at least it looked like the part of Wyoming we drive through to get to Sundance). Pretty sparse. Lots of horizon to look at.
We're looking for suggestions for our next stop: got any ideas? We're thinking the coast of Oregon? Maybe the Lake of the Ozarks? Of course, we love Maine and would go back there in a heart beat. Give us some comments!

I vote for Chicago, but then again, I'm biased. :)
Yosemite was breathtaking (and driving distance from Bodie--the ghost town where U2 took photos for their Joshua Tree album).
I hear the Pacific NW is pretty.
Hmmmm... so many options!
yeh, oregon is lovely, but who can beat Maine??
Hmmm... these photos are gorgeous~ just the pick up I needed before I begin correcting my students' equally inspiring final exams;)
Glad to hear the trip went well!
