Photos from our trip to Arizona

We had a great time in Scottsdale, Arizona. We were there for a week, the three of us--as well as Grandpa Alan and Grandma Margie. Lots of fun! We were prepared for the hot temps, so it didn't seem too unbearable.
The resort we stayed at was the Diamond Resorts Scottsdale Links, a nice place with spacious rooms. The pool was a popular place!
Here's little missy.
Here's Grandpa Alan, Cory and Scout. She really loved swimming in that fish.
And here is Cory with our little acrobat, as Grandma Margie watches!

Look at the size of that sundae!
We got a chance to take a little tour of Old Town Scottsdale (I'm not totally positive that's what they call it!), which was cute. There's a popular ice cream place that we ate at called the Sugar Bowl. Our waitress had worked there for like 41 years or something... she said it's the only job she's ever had!
Then, we took a drive up to Sedona and stopped along the way at the Montezuma Castle National Monument (we went there last year!).
Cory and Scout made for quite the pair! And look--almost as rare as the jackelope--a photo of mom and Scout!

We also stumbled upon a great park in Scottsdale that had a great playground as well as a train and a carousel.
Dad helping her climb the "mountain."Here's Grandma Margie helping Scout brave the slide!
And there was a little "old west" town for the kids! Here's Grandma and Scout on the stagecoach.
And walking the tracks.

We didn't realize it the first time we went, so we only played on the playground and came back the following day to spend a whopping $6.00 on a train and carousel ride for three!
Here's Scout hanging on to the carousel horse.
And here with the wind in her hair on the train ride!
This train ride was pretty sweet. We even went through a tunnel!

And Cory was able to take a few hikes. I didn't actually see any of these places, but I had to put the pretty photos on the blog!
And here's a lovely photo of Grandma and Grandpa Harper with Scout.
And this one is just funny. It's taken after we returned to Denver, the following day Scout put on her boots and her purse and wanted to take a walk.
So, all in all, the trip to Arizona was a lot of fun. Plenty of stuff to keep us busy, but enough time to just hang out as well. But, I have to say, I think it'd be a lot more fun to go to a hot place like this when we were leaving behind crummy weather in Denver! Next year, our family vacation will be a return to Acadia National Park!

I wish we could have gone with you. Trevor would have loved it! Bryce was on the same train ride just a few months ago. That Park was so nice. Hope to see you guys soon! I LOVE the boots. Ditto on the haircuts.
