Flying from Denver to Boston was no picnic, but we had Lacey along to help with that. Scout surely benefited from our investment in a portable DVD player. She consistently asked for "Yo Gabba Gabba" (a DVD we got from the library before leaving)... it eventually got the nickname "Yo Crappa Crappa" from Cory.
So, we got to see our friends Anne and Marshall and their beautiful little girl Grace (born 4-20) in Boston before heading up to Maine.
Once in Maine, we stayed in Southwest Harbor at this great townhouse.
Scout on the balcony of the townhouse.
Scout and Ruby on the grounds of the resort.
Scout and Cory in the pool at the resort... that fish never made it home (a leak got it!).
Just chilling with Dad at the pad. There are a few photos of us reliving old times--back in Acadia after almost 4 years since our wedding. This time, it's not just a newlywed couple, but a family of four!
A photo of Long Pond (across from where the whole family stayed for our wedding in 2006)
We had a few wedding photos from this pier. I'm trying to create a space for Ruby to be photoshopped in since she was sleeping in the car.
Lacey on the pier. We fondly reminisced about canoeing here back in September of 2006.We took a couple trips to Sand Beach (which was "the" spot of the nuptuals).
Scout thoroughly enjoyed the sand and the waves.

Ruby enjoyed Sand Beach, too.
We also took a trip to to the Schoodic Penisula--also a part of Acadia National Park, but a good drive away from Mount Desert Island.
We picnicked.
And sat in the sun.
And took in the surf.
Watched the gulls.
Sat in the car while Cory took copious photos. While on vacation, Scout celebrated her 3rd birthday.
We actually had a lobster dinner, but somehow we never took photos of the poor little guys. We did cook them ourselves, and they cost a whopping $7 a piece. Mmm. Tasty little buggers.
Ruby enjoyed her own dinner. It's safe to say Cory took plenty of photos:
A hike.
Sunrise from our townhouse.
A little bit more "risen"
From Cadillac Mountain. We also took a trip to a place called Wonderland where you can view the tidal pools.

And at the very end of our trip, we got to see Grace again at our hotel room in Boston.
She and Ruby really seemed to hit it off.We also had a chance to see old friends in Boston for dinner, and our friend Amy at the airport in DC.
All in all, one awesome trip. Ahh, vacation.
