Every year, we try to get up to Breckenridge and stay at the Grand Timber Lodge. Our crazy decision to buy a timeshare back when Scout was just a baby has been a source of vacations and getaways, even if it probably wasn't the wisest financial moves (what would Dave Ramsey say???). We do love the time that we spend up there--it's a magical place! However, it does seem Breckenridge gets a little ritzier and overpriced every time we venture up there. It's a great place, though, and the kids love to swim and check out the mountains. We've never skied up there with the kids, maybe someday. The past few years we've gone in the fall, which seems a great time to go. This particular weekend was quiet and we enjoyed the weather immensely.
The photos go backwards a bit: On Saturday night, we ventured out to the downtown area. The shuttle bus driver suggested Fatty's for dinner, since it was a place that we hadn't yet tried. The kids enjoyed buttered noodles and being silly. Afterwards, we walked around downtown a bit and stopped at an arcade and a toystore before heading back to the hotel.
Friday night, we arrived pretty late, so we just hunkered down and had some TV time. Cory & I warmed up some frozen pizza, and the girls just enjoyed the cozy environment along with some snacks. We returned to Fort Collins on Sunday, and it was a pretty drive back. Always nice to take in the mountain views!

On Saturday, during the day, we spent some time at the swimming pool. There is a lovely gas fireplace in the area that surrounds the pool.
