We just met the puglets! (Jan 3, 2016)

So, after learning about this litter in early December and putting a down payment on a male, we finally traveled to Fort Lupton today to meet the future family member. These puppies were born on Nov. 18th to a mom named Lucy. (We joked that Ruby will have a birthday buddy in the coming years!)
We didn't "officially" pick today. We'll do that next week. Today, we merely got to visit with these precious little guys. We were the first of the prospective owners to meet the puppies, so that was cool! The breeder, Sue, was very nice and clearly excited to show off these gorgeous pups.
I can't even stop smiling. These guys just give you a boost of joy, with their cute little antics. It's going to be so fun to bring one home in a few weeks and welcome him into our family. Poor Sue (the breeder) did lose one of the litter, evidently he had some liver problems and didn't make it when they transitioned from momma's milk to solid food. She said something like, "We don't see that often in this business, but it does happen. And it's always hard." So, keep fingers crossed that the remaining pups of the litter have lots of strength and good health to grow up big and strong.
Each of the little guys had a different personality, and we actually have 2nd pick of the puppies after another family. We will go back next Saturday and give our official pick. The tentative date to bring the new pup home is Jan. 24th. We are all so excited!
