The 12 days of Christmas, or something like it

Small children and Christmas go together like peas and carrots. Like Jenny and Forrest Gump. Like cake and ice cream. Like geraniums and a front porch.
These kiddos love Christmas.
There is one small downside: They love it A LOT. It has been like having salivating dogs outside of a meat locker around here... "When is Santa coming, Mom?" "When will it be Christmas?" Luckily, we could calm the savage beasts by throwing them a bone. Tonight we opened some gifts from Grandpa Matty and Grandma Karen, and Uncle Jake. In addition, we exchanged gifts between our own family. Let the fun begin!
Cory unloads the large packages

This one is Ruby's, this one is Scout's and on and on

Digging way to the bottom of the box

Sitting in front of her new Hello Kitty sleeping bag

He looks into this, doesn't he?

You knew this was coming, right?

Scout's turn!

The new umbrella from Uncle Jake

New jammies and a robe--deluxe!

A swimsuit cover-up and flip flops!

Looking pretty good!

I got a new muffin tin--it holds a dozen (woo-hoo!)

Playing with Ruby's new tea set

Invited the Barbie heads to the tea party, too

We are so very fortunate around here to have such an abundance of loving family members and friends who wish to help our family celebrate Christmas. It's not lost on me just how generous everyone is, and we are truly grateful for it.
