We love RoMo

When we went to the Grand Canyon last March, we noticed that the ranger referred to Rocky Mountain National Park as "RoMo." Now, I don't know if we're quite "in the know" or anything, but this is my first time using the lingo.

Today was gorgeous. We took a ride up to Estes on Hwy 34--our first time up since the flood last September. It is really crazy to see the damage that the flood caused.

We were disappointed to learn that our favorite picnic spot--the Endovalley Picnic Area--was closed due to flood damage. We had to find a new spot, so we grabbed a spot at the Upper Beaver Meadow area.

A highlight of the day was all the wildlife: we saw a marmot, pica, more than one herd of elk, a muskrat, but the best--we saw a female moose!

It was a gorgeous day and a lot of fun for all of us. It was one of those special Colorado days.
