So here are a few things worth mentioning.
The girls sang Grandma Karen a song for her birthday. And we sent it to her on youtube. You can see it over here, they're kinda goofy. But, technically, that happened at the end of March.
And then there was April...
Visits to the eye doctor so that I could pick up my glasses and another appointment so that we could check Scout's vision. But they LOVE to try on the spectacles!
Then, one time, they were playing with legos and I thought to myself... someone should really see just how messy things have to get around here so that people can have some fun with their legos.
Then there was the Sock Hop at Scout's school. Though Scout does have a poodle skirt, I found these super cute poodle dresses with little pettiskirts attached and I couldn't resist. Here they are walking through the neighborhood.

Then, one day, I thought I should get photographic evidence of a frequent issue in our house. Hanger breakage. I think it happens a LOT, and I've tried to tell children to ASK for help or GET A STEP STOOL if they are having a tough time getting their clothes out of their closets, but that doesn't always happen.
And then, I had to get some photos of the little chef in action.
Ruby loves to cook. She can cook an easy recipe for polenta with corn (which we call "Bowl full of mush"), Mac-n-cheese and she can cook a fried egg in a very special little pan that we have.
Then, one day I was having a good hair day so I captured it.
Ruby saw me take a "selfie" and that inspired her to take one of her own.
And in BIG news, our neverending winter is slowly taking the hint that it needs to go. So, I've been taking walks with Ruby and having some fun outdoor time. Now, Ruby may be 4 1/2 but that doesn't stop me from using a stroller. I really don't care that she's too big for this thing, because it allows me to have a lovely walk. On this particular day, she had a special request--she wanted to watch a video while we rolled along the bike trail.

We had a lot of fun, and we generally do, but sometimes I forget to take photos, and sometimes I forget to upload the photos and sometimes I forget all about our lovely family blog. But these funny moments are the moments of our lives, and I have to try to do more reflecting on this life. They say that the secret to cultivating joy is to express more gratitude. I should do that more. I am grateful for the health of my girls, their goofy-ness, and the big guy with the beard who is often around to enjoy our fun times, too. Love these guys.
