I have volunteered before, but only as a teacher. This year, I helped to organize the week, and helped recruit teachers. It was plenty of work, but there was such an amazing feeling at the end of the week--the kids were so well-loved by all the volunteers and so filled with the spirit themselves! Something amazing happens during VBS.
Although, my house & family took a serious beating (no laundry or cooking all week, I'm pretty sure...), we made it! They do a lovely program on the Thursday of the week of VBS. Here are a few photos and a few videos.
