Christmas Tree 2017

We have had a pretty good thing going with the Beckett/Schwaderlapp peeps to go out and collect our tree from the forest. Polly usually makes these really delicious chocolate waffle cookies for us, and in return we let her borrow our saw.

We got home, set everything up and then celebrated by.... well, Furley liked the tree so much that he peed on it. So we had to put up a tree fence.

One of my students made me this cool decoration and I hung it in my foyer.

Furley would just look at the tree and remember all the good times of peeing on the tree.

We made it up to Cheyenne to celebrate a simple Christmas with the Goodmans and the Petersens.

We have an elf named Lionel. Funny story, I'm pretty sure that the first name the elf had was NOT Lionel, but I'm never wrote it down, and then one year the kids said his name was Lionel and I just didn't argue. But then, I learned that the Goodman's elf is named Lionel, so I think I know what may have inspired our elf's name.

Elf zip-line with tongs. Can't touch the elf= use of tongs

Who can argue, this is clearly a great photo!
